Microsoft is looking to improve the way Internet Explorer 8 handles Ajax. As of now Microsoft has released Internet Explorer Beta 2 which Microsoft says is an improvement over beta 1. Sunava Dutton who is the program manager for Internet Explorer 8 says that the development team has worked very hard to improve the handling of Ajax for Internet Explorer 8 and furthermore they have worked feverishly to make sure that the beta 2 release of conforms to the W3C standards of the web.

Internet Explorer is a decent browser by they still have a long way to go. Many times I have used Internet Explorer 8 and many features of the websites that I visit either do not work or work incorrectly. Many times I find myself using Firefox or Google Chrome. I am not saying that Internet Explorer is totally useless, there just needs to be much improvement. Hopefully as I go along in this class Microsoft will make good on their promise and make Internet Explorer fully compatible with Ajax. If not I will have lots of gray hairs by the end of the semester

  1. Last year when I downloaded IE 8 no site seemed to want to work compleatly with it. Now I really do not see any differnce in the performence. I actually liked IE 7 better.

  2. I think Internet explorer is garbage. Every time I used it would crash. I would highly recommend using anything else but Internet Explorer. Just thought I would add my input.

  3. Internet explorer is horrible. It is still based off of the original, close-minded capabilities that were shipped with in in Windows 95.

Please, please, please make the switch to Firefox or even Opera...
